Suggested Itinerary
It is ideal for travellers who want a richer safari experience than a short stay, with time for wildlife, quiet mornings, lodge comfort and slow afternoons beside the pool.
Day 1
Pick-Up & Arrival
Arrive at Kholiwe on Kruger Lodge or arrange a transfer from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, O.R. Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg or Nelspruit.
After check-in, enjoy a light meal and take the afternoon to relax.
Spend time around the pool, enjoy the lodge surroundings, or simply settle into the slower pace of Marloth Park. The pool area is close to a watering hole where guests may spot zebra, kudu and giraffe.
Dinner is served in the evening, with outdoor dining under the African sky when weather allows.
Day 2
Kruger National Park & Marloth Park Sunset Drive
Start early with coffee and rusks before heading into Kruger National Park for a morning open-vehicle game drive.
The morning drive usually ends at approximately 09h30, after which you return to the lodge for breakfast.
The rest of the morning is yours to relax, enjoy the pool or use the lodge facilities. Lunch is served at approximately 13h00.
At 16h00, depart for a 2-hour Marloth Park sunset drive, including sundowner drinks along the Crocodile River.
Return to Kholiwe for dinner and a relaxed evening at the lodge.
Day 3
Marloth Park Bush Walk & Sunset Drive
Start the morning with a guided bush walk in Marloth Park, a slower and more grounded way to experience the bushveld close to the lodge.
Instead of moving through the landscape by vehicle, you’ll notice the smaller details: tracks, birdlife, plants, sounds and the quiet signs of wildlife moving through the area.
Return to Kholiwe for breakfast and enjoy some downtime at the lodge. Spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool, enjoying the lodge facilities or taking in the surrounding bushveld.
Later in the day, depart on a Marloth Sunset Drive along the Crocodile River. As the light softens, enjoy peaceful river views, wildlife moments and the calm evening rhythm of the Lowveld.
Dinner is served at the lodge on your return.
Day 4
Kruger National Park Morning Game Drive
Begin the day early with coffee and rusks before departing for a full-day open-vehicle safari in Kruger National Park.
This 8-hour safari gives you more time to explore different areas of the park, follow wildlife activity, and enjoy the changing rhythm of the bush from morning into the afternoon.
Your guide will plan the day around the best possible safari experience, with comfort stops and time to enjoy the scenery along the way.
Return to Kholiwe in the late afternoon and take some time to unwind before dinner is served at the lodge.
Day 5
Breakfast & Departure
Enjoy breakfast before check-out.
Transfers to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, O.R. Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, Nelspruit or your hotel can be arranged on request.
